These guidelines apply to all interactions within the CodeVerse Hub Discord community.

Respect & Community

  • Be respectful no harassment, discrimination, hate, or personal attacks.
  • Keep it SFW: no NSFW/offensive names, pics, or language.
  • No political / religious debates; casual off‑topic only in #Lobby
  • Treat all skill levels kindly and helpfully.

Communication & Integrity

  • No spam, flooding, excessive pings, or self‑promotion.
  • Use correct channels; search before asking repeat questions.
  • Credit sources & label AI‑generated content no plagiarism.
  • No academic cheating, exam help, or illegal activity.

Safety, Privacy & Staff

  • Don’t share personal data or trade accounts.
  • No invasive logging bots or malicious code.
  • Respect staff decisions; use #tickets for issues.
  • No ads/invites or DM promo; follow Discord TOS; no impersonation.

Violations & Penalties

Violations of server rules may result in the following actions:

Minor

Minor Violations

Examples:

  • Off-topic discussions in wrong channels
  • Minor spam or excessive messaging
  • First-time minor misconduct

Penalties:

Warning Mute Kick
Major

Major Violations

Examples:

  • Harassment, hate speech, discrimination
  • Sharing NSFW or offensive content
  • Advertising, DM spam, or server invites
  • Repeated minor violations

Penalties:

Temporary Ban Permanent Ban
Severe

Severe Violations

Examples:

  • Impersonation of staff or users
  • Severe harassment or threats
  • Malicious code, hacking, or illegal activity

Penalties:

Immediate Permanent Ban

Our goal: Create a safe, supportive learning environment where all developers can grow together.

Use common sense and act maturely. If you have to ask whether something is appropriate to post, you probably shouldn't post it.

Appeals Process

If you believe a penalty was issued unfairly, you can appeal by opening a support ticket. Appeals are NOT accepted via DM to staff.

Clearly explain your situation and provide any evidence, ban/mute appeals via official Codeverse Bot Only

Review Process

Staff will review your case, examine evidence, and respond in the ticket. Be patient and respectful during this process.

Decision & Response

You'll receive a response in the ticket with the final decision and reasoning.

Tips for Successful Appeals

  • Be specific and honest about the incident
  • Include any relevant evidence or context
  • Remain respectful and professional
  • Appeals are only considered via support ticket
